Graphic Designer

Job Description

In this role you will:

• Develop creative concepts and direction, design solutions, and/or art direction for print materials, presentations, and audiovisual mediums.
• Collaborate with communications, marketing, and other crew to define, plan, and coordinate content, design, and presentation solutions. Use creative tools to enhance Vanguard's communications and marketing capabilities.
• Transform draft materials and concepts into concise and meaningful visuals, media, and/or design solutions.
• Maintain design standards and brand identity. Comply with Vanguard policies regarding electronic media.
• May collaborate with external vendors on implementing artistic services or design solutions for Vanguard.
• Collaborate with the business and leaders to ensure finalized products satisfy clients' needs and expectations. Provide recommendations as needed on design and creative solutions.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

What it takes:

• Three years related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graphic Design or other creative art's degree preferred.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Basic understanding of web design (HTML, Mages, and Flash). UX experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of both Microsoft Office, Windows, and Macintosh operating systems.
• Ability to conceptualizes, present, and execute creative decisions.
• Ability to take direction and handle a high volume of work simultaneously, while producing assignments with speed and accuracy to meet time, budget, and client needs.
• An understanding of branding/brand development and implementation, communications, and research.
• Portfolio submission will be requested during interview process.
