UW Medicine Primary Care - Mountlake Terrace has an outstanding opportunity for a Radiologic Technologist!


WORK SCHEDULE

  • Full time, 100% FTE, 40 hours per week
  • Wednesday/Thursday 8:30am-7pm, Friday/Saturday 8am-6:30pm
  • Day Shift

  • Perform radiographic procedures as directed by a clinic provider
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of radiology processes and procedures

  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    Conveniently located just off I-5, UW Medicine Primary & Urgent Care at Mountlake Terrace offers comprehensive primary care for the entire family. Services range from preventive medicine to treatment of chronic disease and acute illness to on-site lab and digital X-ray facilities. Our board-certified providers specialize in wellness medicine, women's health, family planning, and newborn and children's health.


    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures. Verify the site of the exam and instruct patients regarding procedures.
  • Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays following established procedures. Select length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on an individual patient basis
  • Provide protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards
  • Examine radiology images for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion
  • Deliver images to PACS for reading/ interpretation by providers and UW Radiologists
  • Maintain radiology room Stocks necessary medical and radiology supplies
  • Clean and make minor adjustments to radiological equipment

  • REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Registry, or eligible to have ARRT completed within
    the employee's probationary period.
  • Certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist/X-ray Technician, before completion of probationary period.
