We are expanding our team to take on this challenge! Job Summary The Director of Human Resources is a senior HR leadership role responsible for setting the strategic direction, ensuring the effective design, implementation and measurement of HR programs and initiatives across all global locations. This role will oversee the HRBP, L&OD, and HR program functions and will work closely with the Director of HR Operations. HR program oversight will include the end-to-end performance management process/tools, talent management and development, manager effectiveness, employee onboarding, offboarding, and engagement. This role plays a crucial part in aligning HR with the organization's business objectives and fostering a positive workplace culture on a global scale, and will wear a strategic HRBP hat with the business.

Responsibilities

    • HR Strategy and Leadership:
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the HRBP, L&OD and HR Programs team, ensuring a unified and consistent approach to HR practices across all regions.
    • Collaborate with the VP of HR, executive leadership to align HR strategies with overall business objectives.
    • Talent Management and Development:
    • Design and implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent across all regions.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and development, including management development programs.
    • Employee Relations and Engagement:
    • Oversee global employee relations initiatives and handle complex employee relations matters as needed.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
    • Monitor employee feedback mechanisms and implement improvements based on feedback.
    • Employee Programs:
    • Establish and maintain a global performance management framework, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
    • Implement new and improved onboarding and offboarding programs that offer a seamless experience for both managers and employees
    • Collaborate with the HR Ops team to design and administer competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs
    • Design and implement career paths, employee development programs and manager effectiveness programs
    • Other programs in the future could include employee recognition programs, DEI efforts, as examples
    • Budget and Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage an HR budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
    • Allocate resources strategically to support HR initiatives and global HR operations.
    • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Maintain effective communication with senior leadership, department heads, HR leaders and other stakeholders to ensure HR strategies align with organizational goals.
    • Crisis and Change Management:
    • Help to lead HR efforts during times of organizational change or crisis, providing guidance, support, and effective communication to employees.
    • Professional Development:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in HR regulations and share knowledge with the HR team.
    • Pursue continuous professional development to enhance leadership skills and HR expertise.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution (preferred).
    • 8-10 years experience in the HR field with a track record for learning and growing within the HR field
    • Experience successfully leading an HR team in companies experiencing growth organically and through acquisition.
    • Experience building and implementing employee-facing programs, such as performance management, onboarding, offboarding, training, and employee engagement programs.
    • Expert on HR policy and best practices with excellent skills and experience navigating employee relations issues
    • Deep experience as an HRBP with an excellent service focus, manager coaching, and track record in solving tricky employee issues
    • Must be a servant leader that is supportive, approachable and creates a culture of accountability with strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
    • Team player with well-developed oral and written communication and listening skills with proven ability to develop effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, business environment where a roll-up-your-sleeves approach is required.
