About the role: The Employee Experience Specialist will oversee the office and cultivate an engaging workplace where employees feel connected, valued, and motivated. They will enhance Wave’s culture, creating a positive and memorable employee experience.
Here's how you'll make an impact:
- Design and implement programs and initiatives to boost employee connectedness and morale, including organizing virtual, in-person, or hybrid events for employees, milestone and service awards, and other team-building activities.
- Responsible for ordering Wave employee swag and coordinating new hire kits.
- Create and send employee communications for events, wave-anniversary (anniversaries), and various holidays throughout the year.
- Responsible for overseeing the health and safety of the office by conducting monthly inspections. Work in collaboration with the P&C Team to ensure the office complies with all legislative requirements.
- Act as a worker member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC).
- Ensure routine maintenance and inspection of the office is completed in a timely manner, completing required reports for office safety, maintenance, and repair.
- Manage third-party vendors to facilitate the management of the Collaboration Centre
- Utilize feedback and suggestions for continued improvement.
- Support People & Culture team DEI initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Communications Manager on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
- Promote and maintain a positive workplace culture that aligns with the company’s purpose, mission, and values.
- Purchase office supplies and groceries, stocking supplies and groceries, arranging mail-outs, and other ad hoc items required for the office.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all employees and guests.
- Support the P&C Operations Specialist with orientation and acting as a backup as required.
- Maintaining First Aid and JHSC Certification.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer-centric positions.
- Previous experience with event planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to act with empathy.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Process-oriented.
- Able to work autonomously.
- Strong and engaging presentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively by keeping track of deadlines, events, and important information.
- Able to take initiative.
- Aptitude for learning.
- JHSC experience is an asset.
- First Aid training certification is an asset.
