Job Description

Moms First is a national nonprofit leading the fight for America’s moms. We are driven by our belief that motherhood is the unfinished business of gender equality. Founded by Reshma Saujani in 2021 at the height of the pandemic, our community of moms and supporters is 1.1 million strong and committed to fighting for a world where moms are valued and supported in our workplaces, communities, and culture. Reporting to the Director of Digital Organizing, the Community Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the Motherhood, Moms First’s digital community for moms and supporters. Launched in May 2024, the Motherhood is a community for moms, by moms, committed to taking collective action to reimagine our communities, our workplaces, and our culture. This is a new initiative, and requires someone with a builder mindset, deep curiosity and penchant for learning, and a vision for how to mobilize moms as a coherent, powerful voice. The Community Manager will also be the “face” of our community, interacting daily with moms and supporters to equip them with high impact resources and a generous, vibrant, and supportive community so they can secure wins for moms everywhere.
