This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our downtown Toronto office (250 Yonge Street) 2 times per week - subject to change at any time.
Purpose: We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to support liquidity reporting initiatives within the Capital Markets. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing, improving, and supporting the bank's liquidity management and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in financial markets, liquidity risk, and regulatory reporting, coupled with strong technical skills to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
• Analyze current liquidity reporting processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements for liquidity reporting systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., LCR, NSFR, FR 2052a).
• Work closely with liquidity risk management teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Drive the implementation of liquidity reporting systems and enhancements, coordinating between business and technology teams.
• Provide support for daily liquidity reporting, ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
• Assist in the development of automation tools and solutions to streamline reporting and reduce manual processes.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of liquidity data from various sources (data origination, staging, and reporting).
• Lead the effort to improve data quality and establish clear accountability across different teams.
• Develop and execute testing strategies to ensure systems meet the business requirements and regulatory standards.
• Act as a liaison between business units (Treasury, Risk Management, Finance) and IT, ensuring effective communication and alignment of business needs and technical solutions.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for liquidity reporting processes, systems, and data flow.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus.
Required skills:
• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in Capital Markets or Liquidity Risk/Reporting.
• In-depth knowledge of liquidity risk management frameworks, including Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), and stress testing.
• Strong experience with liquidity reporting systems, data flows, and reporting automation.
• Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with liquidity risk systems and data platforms such as AxiomSL, Moody’s Analytics, or similar.
• Experience working with regulatory liquidity reporting requirements (FR 2052a, Basel III).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on improving systems and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in agile methodologies and working with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of financial markets, trading products, and their impact on liquidity.
Experience working with cloud-based solutions for liquidity management is a plus.
