200409749 The Health Technologies Team conceives of and proves out exciting new technologies for Apple’s future products and features. We are seeking a highly motivated biomedical studies engineer to join a cross-functional team to help drive feasibility of health, and wellness, sensors, systems, and applications.

Description Your work at Apple will have great impact on all our products. Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Design and execution of human user studies to provide reliable, revealing data for evaluating feasibility of health, and wellness, sensors, systems, and applications. • Troubleshooting prototype hardware and software/apps used in data collection. • Identification of the appropriate reference device(s) to be used in the study: search online, purchase, evaluate, recommend for use in study. • Communicating precisely what the study participant needs to be doing to ensure robust, consistent data collection across subjects. • Develop and refine processes that streamline user study data collection process and improve the user study experience for participants. • Work with cross-functional teams on various projects, listening to their perspective, asserting yours, and working toward a study design that suits all.

- Field of Study: Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related discipline. Bachelor’s minimum, Master’s desired or Bachelor’s with biomedical research experience.
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging prototype hardware or software.
- Highly organized and able to multitask with consistent attention to detail.
- Self-starter, takes initiative.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written.

- Previous experience with medical, health, wellness and/or fitness sensors, systems, and applications.
- Experience with design and execution of human user studies involving physiological measurement devices.
- Experience with physiological data acquisition, data logging, data analysis and statistical analysis (using e.g., MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW) is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a key member of a team, solving complicated problems under time pressure while preserving the team dynamic.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
