Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Patient Services Coordinator II (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Liver Disease Management at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

The Patient Services Coordinator II works under the general direction of a provider or their designee, utilizing communication and administrative skills to coordinate seamless care delivery for patients in a surgical or non-surgical setting. Will act as a patient advocate to assure the patient's access to health care during their entry into and through the services of the clinic.

In this position you will:

• As necessary, register and consent patients, ensuring the completion of required forms and updated patient information in Epic. Correspond with and send information to patients as necessary.
• Acquire pertinent pre-transplant medical records (notes, imaging and pathology reports) and test results. Assure that all patient information is distributed to the appropriate clinician in a timely (5 business days) and accurate manner for non-urgent patients.
• Coordinate clinic schedule to determine availability for appointments.
• Schedule outside clinic appointments, diagnostic tests, non-invasive procedures, and surgical procedures. Coordinate with other departments involved in patient appointments and care, and request interpreter services.
• Contact patients regarding appointments or changes in appointments, as needed.

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

• Associate's Degree -or- equivalent from a college or technical school
• Medical Terminology Certification
• 1 year related experience in a healthcare setting preferred (i.e. physician’s office, scheduler, etc.)
• Organ Transplant experience
• Experience in obtaining insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations
