Health Services Manager to lead our acclaimed outpatient practices centered on human development:
our Genetic Medicine Clinic, our Adult Autism Clinic, and our Institute on Human Development and Disability . The Clinic Manager is a Level 1 position, reporting directly to our Level 3 Health Services Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to lead three dynamic teams that provide compassionate care to our community.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Our Genetic Medicine Clinic offers a full array of genetic testing and genetic counseling services, including risk assessments for cancers, neurogenic conditions, and biochemical conditions.
Our Adult Autism Clinic provides behavioral medicine, medication management, and mental health assessments for adults with complex autism spectrum disorders.
Our Institute on Human Development and Disability (IHDD) provides a comprehensive array of research, clinical services, and community outreach for patients with neurodevelopmental and neurobehavioral conditions.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs and oversees day-to-day and strategic clinic operations
Oversees 12 employees, including Genetic Counselors, Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Patient Services Specialists
Works in partnership with 20+ providers and 3 Medical Directors
Develops and assesses employee skills, monitors and manages employee performance, and completes timekeeping responsibilities
Acts as an expert resource when staff encounter problems or questions
Plans and implements programs to meet targeted patient volumes
Oversees quality assurance and safety standards
Works to continually improve the quality of our services, in alignment with UW Medicine pillar goals
Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program priorities, performance and outcome measures, and regulatory requirements are met
Ensures that the units operate in a cost-effective manner for UW Medicine
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field; or an Associate's Degree and 2 years of relevant healthcare work experience
2-3 years of work experience in an outpatient ambulatory clinic
Demonstrated ability in process improvement to optimize clinic flow and operations
EMR proficiency
Demonstrated leadership experience, working collaboratively with medical leadership and staff
